The updated bivalent booster is now available to those ages 12 and older. It includes components of the original virus strain and the Omicron variant. The original monovalent booster continues to be available to those ages 5 to 11. It includes only components of the original virus strain.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Response in Harris County


Harris County Public Health (HCPH) is working closely with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC),Texas Department of State and Health Services (DSHS), and other health partners in monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic. Our department receives daily updates from hospitals, medical facilities, and other health officials across Harris County as well as the City of Houston regarding testing, confirmed cases, and the development of COVID-19.
