Operations & Technology Services

The Office of Operations and Technology Services (OTS) coordinates operational services supporting Harris County Public Health (HCPH). Key functions include internal information technology (IT), systems support, logistics and inventory management.

Areas of Support

  • Logistics is responsible for the movement of HCPH materials and supplies. This section also serves as a support for general labor, non-technical facility maintenance, and other routine operational duties.
  • Materials Management is responsible for managing the purchase, storage, maintenance, and reporting of all HCPH materials, including consumables, agency assets, equipment, vehicles, and capital assets.
  • Business Operations provides essential account management services agency-wide. They are a single-source solution for the operational purchase process mandated by Harris County. This section acts as the primary liaison to The Office of Financial Services.
  • Information Technology is responsible for turnkey technology, communication, and security solutions as well as overall IT inventory control, help desk support, and the life cycle of hardware and software.
