The Disease Information Helpline (DIHL) Team, operated by the Office of Epidemiology, Surveillance, and Emerging Diseases (OESED) at Harris County Public Health (HCPH), provides immediate assistance for health-related inquiries and access to various health services. This dedicated team offers guidance and resources on communicable, non-communicable, and emerging diseases, encompassing infectious ailments like COVID-19, Influenza, Mpox, and tuberculosis, alongside chronic conditions such as cancer, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases. Additionally, the DIHL aids community members in appointment scheduling, accessing immunization and test records, ensuring prompt access to public health services, and coordinating transportation for individuals encountering barriers to reaching appointments. To better cater to the diverse population of Harris County, DIHL services are available in multiple languages.
