HIV: Our team uses the INSTI HIV-1/HIV-2 antibody test, a rapid test that detects antibodies to HIV Type 1 and 2. The INSTI test is 99.96% accurate, and the results are ready in just a few minutes.

Syphilis: Our team uses the Syphilis Health Check rapid test to detect antibodies to syphilis in the blood. It is 97.6% accurate, and the results are ready in 10 minutes.

What Happens After You Get Tested?

Our Linkage to Care Specialist will help you begin your HIV/STI treatment or preventative care. They can refer you to HIV/STI care tailored to your needs and overall health goals.

Most people get linked to care within 30 days of a positive HIV or STI diagnosis. Our Linkage to Care Specialist will follow up with you.

HIV Positive

If the result from the INSTI test is positive, a blood draw from the vein will be taken for a confirmatory test. The lab uses the blood sample to confirm an HIV positive. It will take three to seven days to get your HIV confirmed positive test result. Our Linkage to Care Specialist will contact you with the results and link you to the care and resources you need. You can immediately start HIV medication before a confirmed positive test results.

Syphilis Positive

If the test results are positive from the Syphilis Health Check rapid test, blood will be drawn for a confirmatory test to process in the lab. The blood sample will confirm a positive syphilis test. It will take three to seven days to get a confirmed positive test result. Our Linkage to Care Specialist will contact you with the results and link you to the care and resources you need.

Will the Syphilis or HIV test hurt?

There will be a slight sting on the finger from the small needle prick used to withdraw blood for the test. If the test results are positive, the Risk Reduction Specialist will draw blood from the vein to confirm a HIV positive.

How long will it take for me to get results?

You will know your results within 10 minutes. If the results from the rapid tests are positive, a blood sample will confirm the results. Our Linkage to Care Specialist will call you with a confirmed result within three to seven days.
