Evening Hours At Stationary Sites

HCPH's stationary sites now have evening hours in addition to the daytime hours currently scheduled. These new hours are temporary and may be subject to change. These testing sites include:

Harris County COVID-19 Testing

COVID-19 testing sites are located across Harris County with multiple site options to help the public acquire faster access to both tests and results. The locations shown below are managed by various organizations. As a result, availability and operating hours will vary as well as the time it takes for results to be returned.

Stationary Surge Testing Sites

In partnership with the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), HCPH manages several stationary locations that our community can rely on for convenient COVID-19 testing. These sites are shown below. 

Testing at the surge locations is available to individuals age 13 years and older – including those experiencing symptoms; those who believe they may have been exposed to someone with COVID-19; and anyone who is worried about possibly having the virus. These surge sites rely on a separate network of labs for processing and will help clear the backlog of tests causing delays.

Appointments are requiredRegistration for HCPH stationary sites will change to www.DoINeedaCOVID19test.com. To visit these locations, residents will be required to make an appointment through this new form or by calling 832-927-7575. When registering, enter the zip code of the stationary site in the search area. Registration for mobile testing sites will remain the same.

How To Register For Surge Testing 

Residents must sign up for testing at one of our surge locations directly through www.DoINeedaCOVID19test.com or by visiting ReadyHarris.org. You can also register by calling 832-927-7575. Residents will need to create a profile, take the brief online assessment, and select the HCPH site location nearest you. Once you choose your preferred location and time, you can confirm the appointment and make sure to bring your test voucher ID with you.

Your voucher ID number is required for testing site or else you will not receive testing. Additionally, the testing voucher is only valid for the date of your test and cannot be used on a separate date. Please note, this is a separate registration process than ongoing HCPH testing - individuals who prefer to go to HCPH mobile sites will continue to register by visiting www.hcphtx.org or calling 832-927-7575

All surge testing must register through www.DoINeedaCOVID19test.com or by calling 832-927-7575.

Acquiring Test Results From Stationary Surge Sites 

Once the testing process has been completed, residents should receive their test results in 3 - 5 business days. An email notification will be sent to the email address used to register for testing when results are ready. To check your results, please visit www.DoINeedaCOVID19test.com and use the same username and password used to sign up for your testing appointment. If you did not sign up online or create a profile, please call 832-927-7575 for results.

Mobile Testing Sites

Several mobile testing locations are available throughout Harris County. To ensure each area within our community has accessible testing options, locations may change throughout the month. It is important to note that weather conditions may impact operating hours for these locations. For current sites, refer to the list below. 

Appointments are required. To register, take the assessment at covidcheck.hctx.net, or call 832-927-7575. You will be able to choose your testing location and time during registration. Once registered, take your confirmation page and code with you to the testing site at the designated time.

You will be able to choose your testing location and time during registration. Once registered, take your confirmation page and code with you to the testing site at the designated time. 

Acquiring Test Results From Mobile Sites 

Once the testing process has been completed, the number of days it takes to receive results may differ depending on the site and/or the availability of testing at the time taken. It is recommended to ask the testing facility when you may expect your results.

Once available, you will be contacted via phone call if test results are positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19). The call will come from 1-833-447-0001 and may show as Results Center on your phone's Caller ID. 

If you receive a call from this number, please answer the phone. In order to protect your privacy, the caller will not be permitted to leave a voice message should the call be missed. The Results Center will only attempt two follow-up calls. 

If you miss both of these calls, you are required to wait until your test results are posted online. For instructions for accessing test results online from Quest Diagnostics, please refer to the documents below.

Testing Results For TDEM Mobile Testing Sites

If you visited a mobile testing site run by the Texas Department of Emergency Management (TDEM), it is important to note that test results may be prolonged compared to other sites in the area. Results will be available 5 - 10 days after testing. If results are positive for COVID-19, your local health department will contact you directly from the Results Center number (i.e., 1-833-447-0001). If negative, you will receive an automated phone call instead. 

Alternate Testing Sites

In addition to the stationary and mobile sites operated by HCPH and our partners, there are numerous alternate sites managed by organizations like CVS Pharmacy, Walmart, and more. Please note that HCPH does not manage these locations or their availability. For more information about operating hours, scheduling an appointment, and acquiring test results, contact the facility directly.

Acquiring Test Results

The process for acquiring test results will differ based on the type of location visited and whether the facility is operated by Harris County Public Health (HCPH). Select the type of testing site below that you visited or plan to visit to learn more about how results will be delivered. 

For locations not operated by HCPH (i.e., Alternate Sites), you must contact the facility directly for information regarding test results.

*If you visited a stationary site prior to Thursday, August 6th, your results will be delivered according to the guidelines here.
