Does HCPH have guest speakers to present information at my school?
Yes. Depending on date and time, staff from HCPH are often available to speak about HCPH programs and services available to Harris County schools at their School Health Advisory Councils (SHAC) meetings, school board meetings, district or school-level meetings, and parent/community meetings. Contact (713) 439-6082 to request a speaker. Please leave the date and time of the meeting and type of meeting that you need a speaker. If you have a specific topic in mind, we will try to accommodate your request if staff is available.
I have a program that I would like to present to the School Health Leadership Group, how can I get on the agenda?
Non-profit organizations and educational agencies and are invited to present their programs to the School Health Leadership Group (SHLG). All programs must be free or low-cost to the districts and research-based or a best practice as documented in professional journals. Individuals selling products to schools are not permitted to present to the SHLG. Individuals who offer a free service to schools may be permitted to present pending appropriateness of service. To request time on the agenda, please call (713) 439-6082.
